ABOUT ME
I’ve been a writer since I was 12. I just didn’t know it until I was much older. For a long time, writing was just something I did and enjoyed. When I was young, I had a wild imagination. I couldn’t wait for bedtime, that was the time I’d spend alone in my room with hundreds of stories and ideas running around in my head.
It wasn’t until 7th grade that I started noticing that I could write better than most of my peers and that I put unusual passion and dedication into my essays. Still, in high school, I was far from the best essay writer in our stream. So I used to borrow the ‘A’ students’ essay books and read through them, trying to find out how I could improve my own writing. I thought it was all about competition, I wanted to score better grades. Funnily, it was only in the writing exercises that I felt a deep desire to excel.
As time went on, I eventually started realizing that maybe storytelling was much more than a thing i did. It became my ikigai.
I believe that stories are vital to our existence as human beings. I believe that stories can change lives and impact people. It’s for this reason that we tell ourselves the stories we do. I believe that the stories we tell and believe in can either make or break us. Writing and engaging in storytelling have been a big part of my life and it’s something I cannot live without. That’s the reason I created this blog, to provide a home for some of my creative interests and share them with the world.
